Our Story

50 Years of Building Los Angeles

Joel & Co. Construction was founded in 1983 as a modest home remodeling operation working out of the San Fernando Valley. Over the following five decades, the company grew steadily through referrals, repeat clients, and a reputation for doing exactly what it said it would do, on time and within budget. Today we are one of Los Angeles's most recognized general contractors, with over 7,000 projects delivered across every neighborhood from Malibu to Montebello.

What has not changed since 1983 is our commitment to a client-first approach grounded in integrity, honesty, and transparency. We believe the people who trust us with their homes and businesses deserve to know exactly what is happening at every stage of construction, and we build our entire communication process around that belief. Every project starts with a detailed written scope and ends with a thorough walkthrough before we call it done.

Founder and President

Joel founded the company in 1983 after a decade working as a framing carpenter across the greater Los Angeles area. He oversees client relationships and project strategy on every major scope we take on.

Marcus Reyes

Director of Construction

Marcus brings 22 years of field experience managing residential and commercial builds across Los Angeles County. He runs day-to-day site operations and leads our crew of licensed tradespeople.

Diana Kim

Client Services and Estimating

Diana manages every client relationship from the initial site visit through project closeout. She prepares our fixed-price estimates and coordinates all permitting and inspection scheduling with the City of Los Angeles.
